Working on several paintings at the moment...
a sneak preview.

And sometimes several paintings are created simultaneously...
First you have the basic layer, the basis from which at this point I have no idea what the end result will be. I pick the colors and form the shapes intuitively and let it all develop from there. In some cases figures and other forms become clear at this stage, but sometimes " something" doesn't show until a long period of just looking, trying to get through to the painting. The painting get its form step by step and the story starts to unfold on canvas.

Fresh colors. Feel like a light canvas.
I want to make a more 3d work or at least with more texture to it. Let's see what adding some rope to the canvas does. Still needs more to get the depth that I want.

Below is an esoteric painting based on someone's personal situation. I've started working on this a while ago, but like a good story in some cases my paintings sometimes need slow unwrapping.

This painting below I've started working on in about the first week of March just before the dead line for my exhibition, although the idea of creating a Healing wall to include in my Scheper Hospital exhibition formed many months ago. With the work unfinished, it wasn't meant to be to be included in this exhibition, but it will be in the next :-) So here it is in its first stages...

Follow
the process of my work while it's being made. Normally you wouldn't
show a painting until after it's finished. But why not include you in
the
process of some of my work. Sometimes during the process I wonder
whether a painting is going to work out or not, because it can look
pretty shapeless at some stages. And then at last... the end, and it is
actually what
I wanted to portray or even if it's a total surprise. I would like to
share this process with you.
Each
significant change will be added to this page, so feel free to visit
any time to see what has changed over time in the painting.
